Nearby reminders depend on platform rules, location permission, and accurate address. stmpr does not track in the background; Apple and Google decide when to show suggestions.
Missing lock screen suggestions is not always a bug. Conditions are strict.
Test by walking near the store with a real phone, not from a desk.
Why use this?
Wrong address places the geofence incorrectly.
Location permission must be on for the customer.
iOS and Android behave differently.
Step by step
- Verify address on the card Locations tab.
- Enable nearby reminder text per location.
- Ask the customer to allow location for Wallet and the phone.
- Test yourself walking near the store.
- On iOS, look on lock screen or Wallet suggestions.
